A lovely place for a walk with some lovely scenery, a nice lake and hall plus some fantastic old wood land to explore lot of public footpaths crossing the land and if very lucky you mite see a deer or 2, in spring time the woods are full of bluebells,

Lovely park which is well kept and is used for many agricultural shows and events. Large manor house which is not open to the public but you can walk through to the lake. Bring back the strawberry picking that was fantastic

Lovely place, beautiful long drive to walk up and appreciate the fields, the lake and the views. There are often dear and pheasants at the right time of year and cattle grazing in the various fields. The road through leads to some nice walks. My only issues the parking near the main entrance (Locko road: Spondon end) or more to the point the poor places people choose to park as this can be dangerous on a bend so be careful. There is a sneaky place to park the top end (off Dale road, just passed Bartlewood Lodge on your left before you hit Kirk Hallam) and there is a nice sandy track down to Locko park from there. I particularly like the Live Action Role Play event which happens annually and all the participants wander into Spondon for food in their attire. Once drive through to witness a huge battle raging over the main road - very cool!

Viking Festival 2022 was a brilliant spectacle and an all round entertaining and educational experience. I loved the Viking village and talking to the people there, all have invested so much of their time to be as authentic as possible to give the public a taste and a snapshot of everyday Viking life.
The battles were ferocious at times, the chinking sound of steel striking steel filled the air as axes and swords were weald about, shields were smashed, bruised bodies littered the field but thankfully there were no serious injuries.

A beautiful and elegant 300 acre park and Country House in Dale Abbey Spondon. Nice wide footpath leading to the 18th century Country House which has been tastefully restored. It is an exclusive Wedding location and also a venue for corporate events and Country Fairs. The oldest part of the house is the chapel of 1669. On the walk up to the house is a stunning 16 acre lake the kind you would expect in a Jane Austen novel.Parking is on the left verge after the park and is limited so it’s best to park at Bluebell Farm were you can get nice Coffee and cake to finish your lovely walk ☕️ 🍰

Very beautiful park, it is such a lovely walk with great nature around and its very clean. Only thing i would like to see more of is benches. As it is quite a nice walk, benches would make this place amazing.
