Canoe Lake

Really lovely lake with fun water rides and lots of swans who are quite tame. Yummy ice cream parlour with lots of different drinks available. Good fun for all and hopefully nice weather ☀️☀️.

Nice place with Kids play area, barbeque zone, lake. Has a rest room.

We went to the Southsea Canoe Lake to have a ride on the swan boats. The car park there is quite small considering all the lovely things to do in the area that will attract visitors, but it's not too expensive (I think it cost £3.10 for 2 hours). It cost us £9 to rent the swan boat for a 20 minute ride but the ticket also allowed us £1.50 to use in their cafe so not too bad! We bought lunch at the cafe and it was all really yummy (we ordered a burger with chips, a cheese and ham baguette with salad, and turkey dinosaurs with chips). We went down to the beach to play for a while and then went back to the cafe for am icecream.. We had a toddler who wanted to try all the flavours, so we ended up switching and they were all DELICIOUS! We had a raspberry ripple, a sumptuous strawberry, and a clotted cream with cookies. We had a lovely afternoon and we'll absolutely be back again!!! 🌞

Canoe Lake is one of the original delightful places in Southsea.
A great place to have a family picnic or if you prefer, there is an excellent cafe next to the lake.
My grandchildren love the Swan pedalos, they also have a big play area for children, also good for dog walking, very close to the beach and South parade pier.

Really nice buzzing vibrant gardens/park with a lake or pond at one end - when i was there there were many people with pedalos in the shape of swans going around it! Lovely day, lovely atmosphere for anyone - families, teenagers, couples etc. Such a fun day all round!

Great place to bring the family. Boats in the shape of a swan are available for hire. Two cafes a also available at canoe lake both serving hot and cold meals
Small pitch and put is there also, plus a large play area for kids. Model village again is within the park area as well as a rose garden perfect place to sit and relax.
Tennis courts are within easy reach, small car park is also there but can get busy during summer.All in all a perfect place to spend the day with the family. Highly recommended.
