What a fabulous music venue. It is stunning! I am not sure if it is still a working church, but it is a great place to see a band.

I was sat upstairs and I couldn't hear a word the artists was saying, as re-verb was just absolutely awful, I'm not really sure how any artist performs here as it doesn't give good sound quality. If I see a gig being played here I would give it a wide birth tbh. It's shame its absolutely beautiful venue but it might need a sound barrier at the top of the church or some investment in understanding sound clarity.
Staff are super friendly and toilets are clean.

beautiful large venue, high reverb makes it suitable for vocals (less suitable for drums), however lots of roof reflection so a loud audience is noticeable and at one point distracted the performer.

Wow! Lovely play space and recreation area. Suitable shade and well kept ground. Lively too. Many shops and stalls around. Lovely meet up place.
I met up with a friend who used to live in the aear and we had a walk around.

The church has recently been refurbished after having a new roof added. It is and always has been one of Hackney's central landmarks and one of Hackney's oldest remaining historical buildings of the area which hosts many religious and social gatherings.

These photos were taken at the Remembrance Day Parade on the church grounds, which hosts a yearly ceremony whereby the whole community, including the local mayor and MP's, along side many charitable associations such as the Scout's and Girl Guiding Clubs as well as The Cadets all meet at Hackney Town Hall and they all perform a military march to the church. Where they all congregate to listen to speeches given, to observe the 2 minutes silence and a special church service takes place inside to mark the day of remembering all the many people who fought and died in the war and to also pay respect to those who lived on and helped rebuild and restore the area thereafter.
