Much of the play equipment has been replaced and is really good. Very popular with the older kids is the zip-bar. Some favourites are still there, like the rocking horse and the molecular rope climbing frame. It's an oasis on a hot day, under the big mature trees with small children and a picnic. This is now our go-to place!

Very nice playground, nearby the city centre and Jesus Green, just cross the road through the footbridge. It's a little hidden gem, usually pretty quite, therefore a great choice for some quiet time. There are many trees in and around, a playground, benches and a lot of green space for games and/or picnicking. The same applicable to the playground here. It's clean and tidy, yet it feels more natural and human intervention-free than Jesus Green, for instance.

Nice cozy place with the Bowling available (check online) and a nice children's playground. Very popular for locals.

Just behind the job centre there's this little secret garden with the best playground. I shall not say anymore.

This is a nice place for a quiet sit down on a sunny day. Generally seems to be fairly quiet and there are a number of benches where it is pleasant to eat a quick lunch. Nice children's playground if you have little ones.
