Beautiful! So glad the river defence work is nearly complete and more of the wonderful, lush Exe Meadows are accessible. We saw a heron and kingfisher during our early morning walk today.

Incredible place to go for a run, walk or ride. Nearly always empty and very scenic

Amazing Nature.
Sounds of birds, rabbits, cattle, ...
It's a wonderful park to relax, breath and walk.

This is a beautiful park in the centre of the city where you can enjoy wildlife, waterfowl, kayaking, canoeing cycling and more. You could easily spend a day exploring all the various parks and water ways in this open spaces. And it is a great place to view the changing of the river during the different seasons.

This photo shows swans, but over the years, I have seen gulls, moorhen, mallards, cormorants, terns, little egrets, kingfishers, Canada geese, and greylag geese here.

The park is completely free and well worth a visit.

A nice area but nowadays tends to get very busy and cyclists often use the shared pedestrian and cycle lane as a time trial track getting upset if a pedestrian or dog gets in their way

This is one of my favourite places to visit in exeter, a great expanse of green close to the middle of city.
A really great place to walk the dog, there are always lots of dogs here!

There is a lot of wildlife here, there are herons and egrets. I have also seen kingfishers here in the summer, simply stunning. Also in the summer there was a seal who decided to lay up near salmon pool lane - that was great to see.

Just what I needed. As soon as I walked through that gate two lovely ladies said "Good morning!", and meant it. I tried to match their smiles and reply in kind, but it wasn't as good and heartfelt as theirs. I haven't had such a marvellous walk in months. I shall return, hopefully soon!
