The canal is lovely in Hythe.the hold food festivals here on the green.childrens rides and live music.but only on a few times a year..nice for a picnic .

Excellent little green by the royal military canal. Nice seating areas to just sit and enjoy the peace and tranquility in an oasis of calm. This pic(if you look carefully has a loading port from the old brewery that occupied the land where the sheltered housing block stands now.

This weekend is Hythe festival...and boy was it great. The food is well priced, drinks from tap cider to prosecco and the live music on both stages were full on. The main stage was rocking and the small stage was peaceful and enjoyable. There is one more day to go. Go see. We had pork jerk wrap, chow mein, dumplingsl...2 lots, because they are wow and bought billtong...just amazing day. This is not our first time over the few years but I was still excited to get there. Plus we caught up with old friends and made some new ones....if you dont make this year..there will be others....😁😁😁

We went to the food and drink festival we had a fantastic day as a family. The stalls were great but some were expensive.social distancing there was none.

Food fare, various quality jewellery stands,art,clothes,beer stalls, garden furniture and live entertainment. Lovely setty next to canal.
