A very good place to come to all year round there it is very good scenery in here and there always seems to be something going on. There is usually an annual fireworks display as well and things like fun fairs as well. Definitely something for everyone. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

Lovely walk across this common near to Greenwich Park and Blackheath village. Could take you drinks from the pub and sit on the common and watch the world go by. Very quiet even with a road running around the perimeter

Beautiful part of SE London - vast green open spaces with Canary Wharf skyline as a backdrop. Lovely village centre. Close to Greenwich village and the fabulous Greenwich Park

Historical places to visit on the Heath; I just came from the mound where the peasants (of the the time) held a meeting for an uprising. If you go there in the day, bring binoculars with you so you can see all the places of interest from the mound without having to walk everywhere. By the geese pond they a special crossing which is adorable when they use it (all traffic stops).

Great place to walk the dogs or jog or playing sports. There are a couple of pubs where you can get a drink or a bite or to spend a penny. The Tea Hut has re-opened for business too. You can go feed the ducks and geese at the Princess of Wales Pond.

Blackheath is a lovely open space adjacent to Greenwich Park. Surrounded by roads so not especially dog or child friendly but worth a visit. Lots of events throughout the year so worth checking out.
