Lovely park with a calm atmosphere. There are a couple of tennis courts which can be booked via a Lewisham tennis website for £5 an hour.

One of the highlights of living in the area is this wonderful park.

I go for a stroll through Wells Park regularly and it is so huge that no matter how many people there are, you still feel like there's so much space to wander.

It has a separate play area for under 5's as well as a park for older children.

There's also an outdoor gym, x2 Tennis courts, a Basketball court and x2 two small ponds with different species of ducks to familiarise yourself with.

The park rangers take great care of the park and it is always kept tidy.

There's public toilets too and sometimes there's a food truck and ice-cream van parked inside the park for all your snack needs.

I highly recommend Wells Park as a hidden gem in South East London

Great park to visit with all the family.
Play area provides so much fun. Water fountain, Zip line and lots more. The plants are gorgeous and the grounds are very well kept. Excellent afternoon.

Great park, nicely maintained and lots of areas (wooded, wildlife) for kids and adults alike. I've seen a basketball court and tennis courts. It's generally quite quiet too. There are two playgrounds, a smaller one at the top and a zip wire and also a small splash area which is maintained adequately for the area.

The snack van is a nice addition (there have been a couple over the past few years).

It's a pity there is pondweed/mildew on the main pond.

A very calm and beautiful place with lots of lovely trees. The childrens playground has been sympathetically upgraded including a water feature and a zip line. Very well done. Plenty of new Benches. Only thing missing is a place for coffee and eats. Noticeable lack of running streams and the ponds are low or dried up.

I used to love coming to the park when my son was small. The water fountains used to be an attraction. However, I was really disappointed to see that the basin was really dirty last week, it looked like a health hazards to me. While I appreciate that at the moment water is scarce I think that that is no reason to let the kids area deteriorate like this...
Cut backs like everywhere, I suppose.

Stumbled accross this little spot on a walk. A pleasant little discovery. A nice green space with a blooming botanical section. Peaceful, I saw a playground for the little ones and nice for dog walking and quiet walks or runs.

A nice park for a walk or a picnic - a hidden gem. Well maintained and usually not very busy. Big playground including zip line and water sprinklers turned on in the summer. And a second smaller playground at the top of the park. A catering van with drinks, snacks and icream during busy season. Toilets not always open.
