Two minor warnings; the eastern path can become liquid during wetter months, and there are 2 gates (neither of which is particularly noteworthy)
In all, an excellent little grove!

This is Streatham's best kept secret - a slice of old woodland that is really magical - step inside and you will forget you're in London! There is so much wildlife to see and the Friends of Unigate Woods have been volunteering for many years to conserve and improve the woods for wildlife and people. Love this place :)

It's a refuge for locals and I'm so grateful it's available. Dog owners love it too. Friends of Unigate Woods are fantastic too - endeavour to support them!

Lovely little wood that nevertheless feels very secluded and wild. The paths are steep and can get muddy though, so watch out.

A snippet of ancient forest in suburbia. Great for a quick stroll to forget you are in the city and see the trees through the seasons.

Hidden away behind the surgery but there to be enjoyed for all who are looking for beauty is a peaceful place to walk and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature.

Lovely small remnant of the Great North Woods on the old Unigate Dairy site, with a great view over London from the top south west corner in winter. It's a lovely oasis for nature with biodiversity interest through all the seasons, but beware of slippery muddy paths when it's been raining. Look out for the old dairy paving slabs, which move round the paths for use as stepping stones. It might be small, but it's packed with character and well worth a visit.

5 stars because it's basically an undisturbed piece of woodland, that I haven't realised was there and I've lived in the area for years. My son loves exploring and this is great. But that's pretty much all it is,just some trees and a few paths, not much to do other than walking and exploring.
