Platford Swan Pond

Nice pond in a residential area with 2 swans that return between Spring and Autumn to raise their young. There are 3 benches around the perimeter of the pond to enjoy your lunch. As well as Mute Swans, various of other species of bird have been seen including various ducks including predominantly Mallard Ducks though also Tufted Ducks, Grey Herons, Cormorants, Moorhens, Coots, Canada Geese, Egyptian Geese and rarely birds of prey. There are also Brown rats that live in the bushes by the pond that become more numerous and evident during the warmer seasons

Amazing nice ! Not too big but walking all around is lovely! Lot of birds,bring some food! 😁

This has always been a beautiful spot, I live 1 minutes walk away. Shame to see so many people driving there during covid lockdown, parking up and breaking the rules !!😡

The council needs to do more and keep the pond in a better condition. The swans and ducks and all the other birds are really struggling,

Lovely alternative to see ducks if you don't fancy Raphael's Park. Quiet and reserved. Lovely surrounding houses. Also good for quiet time to self.

Went to pick up some medicines..
Nice experience and friendly and good services. The shop was not crowded and payment for goods was prompt.

Pleasant open space, loads of various birds,plenty of benches to sit
