Wanstead Park is a refreshing oasis in an urban desert - the first description that comes to my mind! I am sure there is more that can be said about it but for me pictures do it better than words 😊

Wonderful scenery. Lots of bird life around and on picturesque lakes. Friendly people in tea hut serving all types of drinks ice cream and food. Nice people around. Good for stroll, jog, walking dog. Families out walking. Peaceful too. Relaxing. Open at 8am on weekdays now 7am weekend and bank holidays. Closes around 6pm, but I may have to update. A friendly welcome awaits everyone at the tea hut. Lots of people love the bacon sandwiches but the cheese salad sandwiches are great too. As well as baked potatoes, cakes, crisps, and so much else, delicious ice cream. And set in an area that is a delight to sit or walk in.

Beautiful park. Our kids loved playing in river Roding. The lake was dried up though.

Recently visited Wanstead Park after having gone here regularly as a little girl. It’s a beautiful place and has a special place in my heart. Lots of wildlife, including kingfishers, birds of prey, and herons. I recommend visiting if you’re in the area and want somewhere quiet and scenic to walk.

Beautiful spacious park with woods, lakes and open grassland. Perfect for a walk with friends or for quiet reflection. Never overcrowded (in my experience), but enough families and dog walkers that you don't feel isolated. Tea hut for drinks and snacks and public toilets. The bluebell woods in April are a must see!

A bit of a secret in east London. A short walk from Wanstead tube station, this park offers a lovely stroll through woodlands and around artificial lakes.

There are the ruins of the old estate which are very picturesque. There are public toilets and you can get refreshments from the tea hut.

Breath taking park! Spent a few hours here, could have easily spent the day and carried a picnic and blanket to sit on. Lakes, streams and wonderful tracks in and out of beautiful woodland.
