Met with a group of friends for a picnic and games, the park and play area is well looked after. It also looks like the local dog walkers do a great job of cleaning up after their hounds. The only complaint would be the lack of facilities, after a few hours some of the group were in dire need 🥺.

Lovely setting for a family picnic. Area was well maintained with areas left for wildlife to thrive. Large open space with lots of space for children to run around. Children's playground in an enclosed gated area.

I played some friendly cricket match in this ground. It's a big ground. Bonfire festival celebrated here this year which was too good.

Historic associations with annual fairs that were held long before the modern town existed. Pleasant walk from near St. Edwards/The Woolpack away from traffic through to Fairfield Road Conservation Area and then you soon reach London Road with its terrace of shops and to St. John's Park opposite. Improvements currently taking place to footpaths.

I play football on there regularly with my son....but the dogs muck is beginning to become a concern....with owners not cleaning up after dogs and not keeping them on thier leads! Other than that we enjoy our time there.

Currently under a revamp with a new path on the west end of the area. To the right facing the west end next to the park is only a stones throw to Jupps fish shop, perfect for those romantic strolls and movie like ingredients. The trees and flowers will be coming in to bloom shortly so to you dog owners please respond to the unspoken agreement between us all, control those pups and clean up after them. Burgess hill has changed alot in the surrounding areas like most of the country in consideration to growth and development place like this are slowly becoming a rarity with a sprinkle of man-made obstruction about it. Natural beauty all the way for me with a Uncompromising Integrity reinforced with things I hold dear and a love and peace prospective. Side note: please feel free to contact me for any questions and helpful advice about local businesses. Alternatively a substitute instead of this location for a more family get together kinda place. Personally I think people have forgotten the way of life and what we do with the precious time we have here. Keeping up with The Joneses next door and plastic conversation are not.

Giant field, what's not to like. Despite several bins around, is often littered with rubbish - but good for dog walks as often dogs there to meet!
