Adur Recreation Ground and playground

Nice walks along the river & airport, plenty of birds to spot & free parking adjacent to the activity centre.

Big green space. Brilliant for dog walks, fresh air and recreation. They hold fun fairs here, there's a kids playground and a radio controlled car racetrack. There are also public loos which were a little bit scuzzy.

We came for a festival. Not sure if the security were local or employed by the festival business. The festival was out on the field. Attended by may be 1000 I think. Security was well organised. Temp toilets were plenty. No glass or dangerous objects. Many kids running around with no shoes. We had a good time

It had previously rained the day before. The ground has good drainage - it was bone dry no muddy puddles.

Great tributes festival. Drinks and food prices OK and toilets were fab...

Great area to relax on the fields or play games even walk the dog and always go wall climbing,canoeing plane spotting you name it so many things to do in such a relatively small space not forgetting the remote control cars 😀

Very good walking around here with nice views and wildlife. Easy nearby free parking as well

Adur recreation ground houses Sea scouts and other boating activities, bordering the Adur River there is access to Adur Esturary. Photos ive added are all from the rec or looking towards it.it is a preserved area.
The arch bridge is on the West end and has a circular Pond/river fill area. This has been developed with new trees planted.
The Rec itself is usually quiet with the odd Dog walker, think theres a dirt bike area but not sure if still theres, also a small kids playground and free parking.
By walking 5minutes North you are at Shoreham airport and have views of lancing college.

St Barnabas hit the downs charity event, ample parking, clear ability for social distancing.
