A small, nicely designed green space in South Ealing. It provides for a pleasant moment of quiet during the day. The one negative would be the rubbish left by drinkers by the benches overnight. Its a shame that places like this are not locked at sunset.

No bins provided here. Shame on you South Ealing Council. People might just keep it rubbish free! Otherwise a tranquil oasis from the busy road. Congratulations to the gardeners who keep it as good as they can under the circumstances

Maytrees Rest Garden: Revisited this place after two years. The tall cyprus like trees need some care Some of their branches are weighted down with cones, making the trees mishapen. Eventually these will split open or off, sad to say. Although there are some new trees, the 'wilding effect' (i e. not bothering to tidy or mow the place looks dreadful). Have noticed it has encouraged more litter throwing, as people obviously think others cannot see their rubbish. Environmental management - very doubtful, there are no visible flowers only blossom on trees. Surely too whoever has put weed killer around the edges of paths and shrubs needs re-educating. This is definetly NOT insect friendly and the area looks scruffy compared to other years

It's better now since I cut the roses and box hedging. Looks tidy I work there.

A lovely green space and a popular place for local people to walk their dogs or just relax on one of the benches. It's also a short cut to transport links and local shops and a convenient place for parents who wait to pick up their children at the end of the school day.
