I didn't realise how friendly the squirrels were until I got there (didn't do any prior research) so it was a nice surprise! Some kind ladies gave us their leftover bag of nuts, so I had great fun feeding the squirrels. Absolutely gorgeous garden with a wide variety of flowers and sculptures.

Never a dull moment very close to all the shops and the river lots of room to relax while the kids play on the park or go on the miniature train that costs less than £5 for 3 rides even adults love the train.

A lovely park near Chester town centre. Nice relaxing walks with lots of interesting things to see and quite a few entrances/exits to different areas of the town. There are also plenty of maps around so that you know where you are. Toilets are also available.

Impressive gardens perfect for a leisurely walk through, seating available and for children (and their parents) a miniature railway is a pleasant offering. Squirrels are plentiful and for the first time we saw members of the public feeding them by hand. Nuts I assume but one young lady was actually stroking the squirrel's back whilst being fed. What with the beautiful weather, and pleasant flowers arrangements, it was a restful couple of hours, but also some picture taking opportunities.

A very nice well maintained little park. It's in a nice location next to the Riverside with shops not too far away. I found the park quite small compared to some I've been too, but it was good for a short walk around and the various Roman ruins gave the park a bit of character.

At the time of visit there were tents inside being used as an open air theatre, however I did not use this myself. There was also a merry-go-round and small train ride for the kids, however the size of the track was short so the ride was over fairly quickly.

Although there are a couple of multistory carparks in the area, these are mainly there for shopping centres and other shops, so being a new visitor to the area I felt a bit let down by the local Council for NOT providing any large open air carparks dedicated to the use of the park or riverside visitors.

Beautiful gardens for a great walk! We really enjoyed our time here and got to feed some of the birds as well! All the plants and gardens seem well looked after and it's a really nice quiet get away from the main city centre.

Really peaceful walks and great views as well as a children's play area and mini railway. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the city

There are also public toilets here that seem to always be open which is always a bonus!
