Not a wharf exactly. Site of the old docks in Grays. It is the sort of official entrance to the Grays riverside walk which follows the river wall from the start of Tilbury powder dock all the way down to fiddler's reach. It's a good walk. All pavement. Well used by the community for walking, running, and cycling. Probably about a mile long. Fascinating views of the river Thames.

Just another wharf, one of many on the Thames River situated at the Town of Grays embankment dam. A good place for walking, running, or cycling in the area. Everything close by main roads and access streets to residential buildings, as well as numerous pubs, cafes, shopping centers and boulevards. There is also South Essex College, local train station and bus station in the walking distance from the place. Worth visiting and admiring the panorama of the surrounding ports, loading docks at Tilbury and Purfleet. You can just have sit with friends, drink, or eat something when, thirsty and hungry after hard working day or trip. Strongly recommended, as a relatively quiet and visitors friendly place and people. Just go & enjoy. You're definitely welcome and invited..

Definitely one of remarkable places of Thurrock - Grays. Excellent for walking, running, cycling and admiring beautiful landscape of the Tames riverside. Highly recommended.

Nice place to wind down as you walk on paved paths along the Thames. Makes you catch up with the speed of London and connect with Diety.

Lovely little walk, enjoying the River Thames; and the peace and quiet. There's a pub along the way too 🙂 Lots of ships and small boats sailing past to keep you busy whilst travelling along the riverside.

Even if the main gate is always closed, you can get on the promenade usin other small paths. There are some spectacular sunsets in the cold seasons. My favourite place to see them. Also, there are 2 playgrounds along the path, a small junior fitness area and a pub.
