Rectory Farm Pocket Park

I love this pocket park and come here in all seasons. A great place to stroll or sit in nature and find a little peace and quiet from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Lovely walk and nice to see change throughout the year

No specific parking apparent. Quite a pleasant walk on good paths. Found a nice little area with play equipment.

A wild life corridor around a stream at the edge of a housing estate, far more sensible than sticking the stream in a culvert and building over it, a path along its full length allows for a pleasant walk not far from home, and it supports quite a reasonable assortment of British bird life, as well as the more obvious squirrels

Poorly maintained area…… Even the ducks and fish etc have moved away! Pond/lake needs Major work, only fed by the polluted foul water from street drains , pond needs reconnecting to stream . Many Trees are in a dangerous state,
Give control back to the Council , example …..
see how the bottom Lake is kept/ maintained !

My dogs love being walked around here. The get to socialise with other lovely doggies, and run around, and sniff to their hearts content.
