One of Salisbury’s best kept secrets, Middle Street Meadow in Harnham provides wildlife habitat in its long grasses and pond area.

Paths are cut through the meadow for walkers, bird watchers and wildlife enthusiasts and there are stunning views back along the water meadows to Salisbury itself. At one end of the area there is a football pitch suitable for junior games. (Salisbury City Council notes)

Use this park as a starting off point for a wonderful peaceful walk along the Broken Bridges Trail, overlooking Bemerton Meadow. Cross several bridges over the river Nadder and watch out for the wildlife.

A great secret spot to go for a wild swim, even local Salisbury people are surprised when they find this beautiful river spot.
