Having moved into an apartment 3 minutes walk from Limehouse Basin and marina my Sunday morning walk was around the marina at Limehouse Basin. It's picturesque and very pleasant. One would hardly know that the very traffic busy Commercial Rd is so close as the noise is filtered out by the blocks of apartments built in front of the road and can't be heard. I can recommend a visit here especially if you are into boats, from live on narrow boats, wide Dutch barges to modern cabin cruisers. Restaurants, cafés and pubs close by, including the old and famous 'The Grapes' with excellent beers and good pub food
