This is my dog's favourite place. She can run and swim, there are some amazing birds and a lot is suitable for wheelchair users and buggies as well.

This is a lovely place to walk and my Springer Spaniel loves the lake,however I have come across 2 bad experiences of my dog being attacked by a Staffie,the owner was a man and he was very,verbally abusive calling me awful names and had no control over his dog,I had mine on a lead. Another time was a lady with 4 black labs,came charging up to my yorkie and wouldn't leave him alone,again no control over her dogs and was verbally abusive towards me,on 2 occassions this happened and I believe she only had 1 lead for 4 dogs. This has now put me off walking alone round the Nature Reserve which I loved doing.

Wonderful picturesque area to take the dogs for a walk. Lovely large pond with paths that take you down to the river and canal locks. Or to the adjacent Nature Reserve, with its wooden causeway winding above the flooded reedland areas.

Nice walk around the lake and along the river. Lots of wildlife to see and good paths. Can get muddy in places when there has been lots of rain though.
