Newbury Road Dog Park

Great place to bring a dog you wouldn't trust off lead. Secure gate and tall fence to stop your pet running off into the distance or into the traffic. Lots of friendly dogs and owners as well.

Lovely safe enclosed space to walk dog with welcoming people. If like mine your dog is not always easy to get back on the lead they will always help and in all the time I've visited everyone and their dogs have been a delight to spend time with.

Great place to let dogs run off lead, double gated and a large hedge all along the fence. Two dog poo bins, two benches, water bowl and a general waste bin. Path all the way around. Unfortunately quite a bit of poop on the grass area but we just wore wellies, also several holes so watch out on the grass.
Only slight annoyance for me was I was under the impression there was a play area inside, this is actually in the green area next door- where dogs aren't allowed, the gates are quite far apart along the road so you can't leave older children to play while the dog has a run about.

Brilliant place to take your dog & your dog can roam around the park with other dogs. Great place to socialise with people.ots of different dogs.
I've been back to the park today as I've not been up there in a while and it's very busy, Some of the people up there seen to think that because there in the close park they don't need to pay attention to their dog while there just talking on their phone. Which is a shame!

Double gated area for dogs. You are supposed to keep your dog on a leash but most people don't. There are a couple of benches and some poo bins. That's about it.

Overall a good space for dog owners

A great place to have a run. Most of the time everyone is friendly with nice dogs! However some people think because it's enclosed it is ok to turn up with unfriendly dogs and just let them off the lead with no care in the world :(
