Food festival is awesome! First time visiting this year and while there is a charge of 7pounds entry you can appreciate why. Lots of food and drink stalls, live music and activities for the kids. Great community feel with lots of people from further afield to enjoy the event.

Sunday 5 th June party in the park for the Queen's platinum jubilee!
Rainy and a bit chilly but lots of fun to be had .
Great music from Vanz. Fleetwood Mac and the Kinks to name a couple .
A special display of jubilee photographic memories from 1935 and 1953 was excellent .
Lots of food and drink stalls ,one from the Crown Wharfe .
Children's face painting and a musical roundabout.
People out and about with their large umbrellas.

Lovely to walk the dog along the river. So peaceful most of the time.

Nice place , facilities on your doorstep,Cafes, pubs, restaurants Due to Covid only able get a takeaway drink from M&S . Sports centres, sports field, including 2 free car parks and another free for 2 hours only which is M&S Walking paths , ideal for dog walking or cycling. . We sat had a picnic bringing our own seating as this was the first time since lockdown to meet up outside with friends ( Max 6 persons) It’s a place where lots of people hang out . It was a bit off putting as some teenagers were playing music loudly with abusive language in.
By the time we left there was a larger gathering and we could smell weed. This can make you feel quite intimidated and put you off. Police did a drive by which dispersed them but they all came back as we were leaving the car park. Not being a grumpy, old person as children need somewhere to hangout and they didn’t bother us .

The park its self seems well maintained, the Stone food festival however was really quite poor. Certainly not worth the £20 entrance fee for 2 adults. Very disappointed

Open area to let our dog chase a ball with a little rough grass area to let her do her business as long as you clean up. There is also a short river walk and the canal is close too.
