Landseer Park

Huge open space with wooded walks....great views of the town...lovely picnic spot in the summer.

Lovely green space perfect for dog walking although quite hilly. BMX track that holds regular competitions.
Two play areas, one aimed at older children and another newly refurbished area for younger children which is gated.
It's unfortunate that older children or adults seem to be using it as a drinking area in the evenings as it has been littered with alcohol bottle tops which I've had to prise from my toddlers mouths a few times. Although this seems to be the case in alot of play areas. This hasn't put me off as it is a beautiful play area but just make sure I have a quick scout around when I arrive

To many dogs oof lead nr play area aggressive alsatians ,we no who we are ,don't we Mr bald head man an his two alsatians that should be on lead

This is more a hilly field with one end dedicated to wildflowers, but park benches are conspicuous only by their absence. It appears to be unplanned or that it was left without the vision for the site being fulfilled, because the wildflower concept works for a few months, then it's just long grass for the rest of the year. The best feature is the highpoint opposite Holywells Park, where it's possible to look down upon activity on the east side of Ipswich Docks. A specialist BMX track & club is also located in a corner of Landseer Park...

Lovely place to walk with or without a dog. You will often spot birds of prey in the skies too.

Kid's love the BMX track even if it can get a bit muddy. The car park is about 5/10 minutes walk away and is probably not the safest place as right next to footpath and road with no cameras.
