Broadwater Park

A delightful lake, easy to walk around in under 45 minutes with a tarmaced path surrounded by fairly unspoiled undergrowth and popular with fishermen. The island in the middle hosts a number of birds, ducks, swans & herons.

Ideal for disabled people, with numerous benches facing the lake allow one to stop and enjoy the views. .

Free parking nearby, as well as a children's playground, indoor Health Centre with pool, and a wide area of grass used by cricketers etc.

Nice open space, cut lawn in picnic area hut lots of cigarette ends. Beautiful lake.

This is a great place to see birds. When we attended, there were many people walking their dogs.

It is a great place for a walk.

Lovely bike ride with wife

While waiting for my bike to be serviced, I took the opportunity to take a stroll around this lovely lake. The pathway is of tarmac and forms a circuit around the whole lake, so is accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs all year round. There are benches aplenty...with most being made from heavy duty recycled plastic, nice places to sit while watching the many species of waterfowl on the lake.
I was amazed while walking, that there was no litter...hard to believe in such a popular place. So, well done Waverley Council and the locals who use it...makes the whole thing much nicer.

Nice park ..public toilets are nice and clean and it has a pond ..lovely for the kids to explore .often has a coffee truck or food truck ..ice cream van ..kids love feeding the ducks ...often cricket played there

Mixed bag. Great playing pitches, pleasant lake and walk around. Nice coffee stop (the 'waffle van') and lots to see and do. Derelict golf course is a dog walking bonus but need to clear up lots of broken glass, stray wires etc.. Altogether a good public facility.

Lovely walk around Broadwater Lake with great cappuccino from the waffles van in the carpark. Great to visit at any time of year for a beautiful lake view, and to feed the waterfowl, several type of geese, mallard ducks, moorhens, swans and cygnets
