Lucy Plackett Playing Field

Great park to visit with plenty of space for the children to run around and enjoy themselves.

This lovely green field behind the church beside the river is a wonderful open space for our village where kids can kick a ball and play on the swings or in the woods. The little bridge over the Brook from the church yard to Dog Lane is perfect for 'Poo Sticks' and the open field is wonderful for strolling with your dog. The village football team hold their matches there in Saturday afternoons during the season and many village events are held during the summer months. There is also now mini football on Saturday mornings.

Families walk and picnic together there as they is an excellent playground, outdoor basketball court and even a zip wire. It's also a perfect place to read a book and notice the seasons come and go lingering in such a peaceful location with stunning view back to the Church. A few times a year there are fetes, music and charity events that bring the people together as a community. The village is so lucky to have this excellent facility.

Very nice village play area with field for games and playground with a lot to do for children of all ages.

Shame about the amount of dogs off leads, why do people think rules only apply to others ? Selfish
