Cwmtydu is a secluded beach just south of New Quay and on the Ceredigion Coast Path in Wales.
There is a restored lime kiln there, lovely beach, toilets and cafe.

Always a lovely place to visit. Not much free parking but there is a small carpark that is a £1 for all day. Carpark is opposite the little cafe, which does nice hot chocolate to warm yourself up after a dip in the sea

While the cove is beautiful, it's not very big - you're not going to get much of a walk across the bay. And although dogs are permitted, there isn't really a lot of room for them to play unless they're sociable with other dogs, which ours isn't... With hindsight, probably would've been better to walk there, have a coffee at the very nice little cafe and look at the view, and then walk back.
So yeah, I probably wouldn't take a reactive or non social dog there, just because it's called 'dog friendly' - they're probably not going to have much fun unless the place is empty.

Super shingle beach, interesting rock folds each side of bay, nice scrambles and access to coastal path, lime kiln industrial archaeology, and good free car park. Snack bar round the corner.

Carpark near the beach and another as you come up to the beach on the left, all day parking for £1. Doggy friendly with fabulous access to multiple walks providing fabulous views. Highly recommend a visit. There's a little cafe with eats, ice-cream and soft drinks.

We didn't use the car park, we walked down from our holiday cottage a couple of miles away. Lovely little place, a visit to the café is a must! Great coastal walking from here. Pebble beach, with an inland water area which was being used by new kayaker and paddle boarders. There is also the ruins of an old lime kiln

A beautiful little cove, with a resident bull seal. We were blessed with the weather for mid November being able to sit on the beach. Well worth a visit.
