Q-Park Cardiff Bay

It was my first time parking my medium sized hatchback car at this car park recently and I found that although there was plenty of spaces on offer to me that were all decent size and despite an overall good price I really hated and dislike how narrow the ramps are to access upper floors and the ramps to go down floors to exit the building, plenty of scrape evidence on the walls of the ramps where its so tight people with cars have scraped them, despite being a confident driver and confident to park I really was not impressed with the access ramps, with modern cars getting bigger and bigger too, I feel this could be an issue!

Good, clean car park. They need protectors on the ramps as I've seen people scrape against them a lot due to how narrow they are. If there is a big car in front of you, you have to wait as the manouvre to get through the tiny ramp entrances and exits. Other than that, it's a great car park with accessibility to everything in the bay. Great access to major roads too.

Cheap parking. Advise to book 1st. Especially in Cardiff where parking is a mare at the best of times. We booked online as we were going to c the lion King in wmc. Best to have peace of mind your car is safe. Only £8 for 8hrs!. So we made the moat if it with a few drinks lol x

Amazing car park, close to Premier inn, you get a discount with your stay but the most interesting thing was the complimentary shoe shine machine!!! Who knew you can park here and get your shoes cleaned at the same time 👍

The staff are so lovely and helpful! I managed to drop my wallet on the way out and Jack from the Q-park host team got in contact with me to let me know he had it safe before I even realised it was missing! It was back with me within the day with everything there and I left with nothing but smiles (and my wallet this time...)! Thank you so much to Jack and the rest of the team :)

Nice cheap place to park in the bay area of Cardiff with only a few mins walk to the actual bay.

There is more than enough parking for alot of vehicles and is open 24/7 for those who are staying overnight in the adjoining Premier Inn or any other events in Cardiff.

Fair warning, the car park can get very busy on weekdays due to commuters however there is ample parking on weekends

Very handy and easy access location for Cardiff Bay in general but especially for the WMC (Wales Millennium Centre) which is just across the road, and the Red Dragon Centre.

Tips.
Use all three entry lanes. There will often be a queue for one gate, and I just nip along and through one of the other two. Not sure why folks queue; might just be a British thing and they're traditionalists.

Cars coming down the ramps have the right of way. I've lost count of the number of near misses when I've been descending and cars come from the left without a hint of slowing let alone stopping. Take care on your way down, and give way to the ramps if you're not on them yet. This is why just 4 stars; signage/measures need improvement otherwise it's a great facility.

Cardiff Bay Q Park is excellently located for the neighbouring Premier Inn and Wales Millennium Centre. My car wouldn't start upon leaving and DAMON went above and beyond to assist me. He clearly explained the disclaimer to use an onsite battery charger/booster, coned off the bays either side of me incase RAC needed, and checked on my welfare. Thankyou DAMON!
