In a sunny afternoon is the perfect place to have a walk. Apart of the walk you can have the pleasure to see here ducks, swans and other birds.

Great place to visit for a walk round the lake, you see lots of wildlife, there is a large carpark and a large grass area to play ball or have a picnic

Just to clarify, the five stars are for Charnwood Water and not the car park! It is a decent car park with toilets open at peak times, but Charnwood Water was the destination!
Interesting history and lots of wildlife to see.

Me and my family love Charnwood water, you would see us around the water with our giant black lab called mylo who we sadly lost on the 28/8/2022.
There are a lot of very friendly locals that walk the water, and I suppose you could call it a bit of a community of dog walkers and bird watchers/feeders.
Hope to be back to our routine soon and see our friends.

A nice quiet lake, not big but not small. Good path around to walk. Via off slightly to look over the bridge at the Central railway. Walk the dog, kids or just yourself. Flat grass area for a summer picnic. Reasonable sized car park. Don't litter!

My friend and I had a very nice dog walk around the lake. The blossom of some of the trees was just coming out in flower.
The lake water was crystal clear and very beautiful.
The car parking was very good.
Just remember to take notice of when the gates get closed in the evening or you might be locked in for the night.
Nice place though.

A lovely hidden gem of a walk or cycle ride on the outskirts of Loughborough. Easy free parking. There were lots of ducks and a few swans being fed when I arrived. The dirt walk goes around the lake, and there are a few benches along the way if you need a sit down. It is perhaps not easy to find the first time (I had a navigator) but once discovered you should remember the way. Although there is a toilet block this was closed when I went (I assume because of COVID). In short a pleasant walk.
