Water Gardens Car Park (North)

Cheap to park and free out of hours. Need to be in the car park before six as the barrier goes down so you cannot enter out of hours but you can exit 24 hours a day

A word of warning using this car park. Get a receipt when both paying cash or card. It states in block capitals that they don’t issue tickets anymore and it’s all done automatically with the option of getting a receipt. This amounts to my word against the company and they won! I did appeal as I put the correct money in for the said time which showed up on the screen and told me what time to be back which I was well within the time. There argument was they have no record of this. Please take note of this trap and stay safe.

Can use contactless payment. You have to guess how long you need to park, where the marlowes car park pay on exit so even if it's a short or long stay you only pay for what you need. in water gardens you have to guess I'm going to be half an hour I'm going to be 3 hours and pay appropriately. Then you have to ensure you are back at car in good time or get a parking ticket. On the positive side it's nice and open lots of plants in a river so please enjoy.

VERY STRICKT PARKING WARDENS!!
I entered one digit of my registration wrong, wrote 12 instead of 62, and 20 minutes later, I had a £50 fine waiting on my window!! Right next to my parking receipt.
I spoke to the warden, who said 'rules are rules'. Clearly he had no empathy, or any human level of judgement or leaniancy.

What is going on with the payment method,entered vehicle reg, unable to process payment, either with card or cash.no notification as to whether payment had completed or not. Decided not to take a chance of a fine, parked in the Marlowe multi storey instead, much simpler.

Typically poor experience buying tickets. This will further deter visitors to Hemel. On the plus side if the Water Gardens were somewhere else we would all be raving about this place. As it's in Hemel though the locals will moan about it and kids will chuck rubbish in the water. Well done Dacorum Council for securing funds to improve the gardens.

Lovely carpark, just walk over the bridge and there are the shops

Quite an ok car park. Park here daily for 3 years. Gates close at 18:30, so even as a local, cant even get in when I finish work late. Usually some shady kids doing stuff after hours as well even when it's literally metres away from the police station.
