Ashridge NT Car Park

It's muddy at places and very busy. Many park at the side of the road rather than at the proper car park. Be prepared to wait for a while to get a parking space

a decent size parking, technically its not free parking you need to pay £2 voluntary,

Easy, affordable and wide open spaces.

Some offer shade some don't, with instant access to the forests.

Plenty of space in various bays along the rive. Some areas are better surfaced than others.

Almost always a space to park for free and a great spot to start lots of amazing walks through the forest. Getting quite busy after 10 AM but parking spaces also available along the main road just drive on keep your eyes open! NT toilets, shop and a cafe also available. Coffee van selling hot drink usually here at the weekends. Attention- gets supper muddy in winter so careful when parking on a slope!

Gets busy, and hardstanding parking gets full.

The parking not on hardstanding is on grass and gets waterlogged in the rain, so choose spaces carefully if traction is an issue.

NT suggest parking costs £2 per visit, and that you pay using coins dropped into collection boxes. Payment isn't enforced (yet).

A great carpark. It's so big with plenty of space for parking. That doesn't stop it getting full at busy times. One of the best things is it's free, although a donation is welcomed.

There are toilets up by the shop, but they don't open till 10am.
