Farlington Marshes Car Park

I love this place. A perfect location to watch wading and heathland birds. Many great habitats in a concentrated area.

Good parking point for cyclists, walkers and all

Wanted to park here but there is a height barrier and it doesn't even have the height marked on it but looked to be about 2m which is too low for our not particularly big MPV style car.

Maybe carry a tape measure if you are in a camper van people as it comes in handy if the hight isn't marked on the barrier like here

Very cold and a bit damp but otherwise we were picking up rubbish after Ben brought from home bacon butties.

Farlington Marshes - the hidden gem of an amazing bird sanctuary rich in its variety and wildness, with a lovely long walk along its perimeter. Just off the motorway, the trees and shrubs muffle the traffic sounds. Really worthwhile viewing and visiting.

This review is just fit the car park which is well located bit as I have a small van I can't get under the height restriction. Also the nearby playing field car park has a restriction! 2.1m would be fine and is the usual standard.

I ruddy love Farlington Marshes. A great place to see wildlife and a great place to spot the odd avian rarity. Lots of Bearded Reedlings, Swallows, Godwits and all sorts. A simple path surrounds the reserve, making it easy to navigate - all the while accompanied by that lovely sea breeze and scent. I would recommend it to all lovers of the outdoors. Pretty darn easy to find too!
