Southwood Car Park

Great place for nice walk with or without the dog, great hand standing path so okay all year round, very well maintained and ample free parking. definitely will be going back.

Pipe line equipment everywhere meaning that 1/2 the park land is currently unavailable.

Nice walk over old golf course.

Lovely doggy walk. They have recently made a hardcore path in a circle around the edge of the park, suitable for prams, cycles etc. Great for dogs off lead as it's pretty much secure. Wooded area to the side. Lots of water for them to jump into. 🥺

Car parking at southwood is fine and free for now, I'm sure that will change if/when the council approve the building of the cafe and the visitors centre - the main issue at the moment is crossing that busy main road, someone will get hurt soon.

Great place, bit muddy off path but where isn't.
I'm hoping they will clean the pond soon my dog came out smelling rotten

Small car park but a big improvement from the previous very limited parking on the access road.
