A very useful car park to gain access to the Hayling Billy line. It is free to use but is quite small so can cause a problem when busy.
The Hayling Billy Line was once a railway line that ran from Havant to Hayling Island Station. Built in 1865 it ran successfully until 1963 when the bridge going onto the Island needed replacing but proved too costly. Today it's a popular walk along the old railway workings and provides walkers and cyclists wonderful views of its coastal route pathway. Please note that the picture showing the theater is at the other end of the Billy Line trail and is not the car park showing on the map!

Walked from here to the theatre car park on West Town. Most enjoyable.

Not many spaces, but if you're coming from the bridge side you may be able to spot some free spaces. A good place to park for the Hayling Billy Line or the adjacent Oyster Beds. Take care as it's site it's transited by cyclists and walkers.

Free to park and go for a nice walk. I took my wife there so she could get a sunset picture.

Plenty of interpretation boards to explain the history of the line, its wartime significance and the birdlife. Trail is a brisk one-hour walk but plenty of benches for those who want to linger. Walkable during the worst weather, disabled friendly. Convenient bus stops at both ends

Very convenient. Almost hidden. Handy place to park for lovely scenic walk.

Great coastal path on the disused railway track, park up by the bridge and cycle or walk down for some fish and chips on the beach.
