Tower Street Car Park

Handy car park for the top of town. The payment system is either Ringo, Cash or card. There is little phone signal in the lower levels so my phone would not connect. So you have to go off and find a card machine. Which took a little while.

I park here all the time visiting Winchester from Whitchurch. It's a few mins walk down to town and there are always spaces when I visit (mostly during week days). Being in the top of town makes it perfect to get in and out without much traffic and pretty much one road from the dual carriageway.

The spaces are spacious and the machines are very rarely out of order.

The price is a little expensive but it's in line with the rest of town for that distance from the center. I only visit for a couple hours so I could find a free spot but the hassle of driving around town means it's just as easy to pay.

It's a good car park a short walk to the town centre. The pedestrian entrances on either side are at different floors so it's easy to end up searching a floor your car isn't on!

Got fined for using a reserved space. Only there was no sign on the actual space - just two printed out pieces of paper taped to the pillars at either end of the range of spaces saying they were now reserved. I would have taken photos and challenged it, but can't be bothered with jobsworths. Shoddy signage, money making enforcement. Last time I use this car park, or indeed visit Winchester.

This a large milti-storey car park in Central Winchester at 'the top of the town'. You can enter and exit via Tower Steeet or Sussex Street but be aware those are on different levels: Tower Street is one level below Sussex Street. The car park is well lit and doesn't smell the way some multi-storey car parks do. Payment is 'pay and display' so you need to predict how long you are going to stay. Charges are in effect evenings until 7pm, including Sundays (£2 all day Sunday). You can pay by RingGo but I had to walk to the edge to get a signal.

Great car park, open late, and located close to theatre and five minutes from shopping centre. Found space easily on ground floor (tried three other car parks prior which where hectic)...

On a scale of 1 to car park, this is definitely a car park.

Could do with updating to show how many available spaces etc.

Confusing signage. Lost half an hour to look for my car. In the end went outside, enter on the other side and realised is a different level. No signage or anything to help you find your car
