Galleywood Common Car Park (South)

Galleywood common is well known by the people in the local area. It is a nice place to spend an evening dog walking. It has some bits of Forrest which is really nice

Good place to rest. No facilities and lots of potholes. Height barrier so no good for motorcaravans or lorries. Just off A12 Chelmsford bypass heading Colchester bound.

Car parks not very big but it's superb for walking withy dog

Easy to find and access and free to park. We found in winter that while the car park is relatively firm underfoot there are a number of large potholes that fill with water. Walking around the common is lovely as was the small pond but wellies definitely advised this time of year (23rd December)!

Good area for kite flying, also lots of people walking dogs in the woods next to the car park.

Always nice to take a walk through Galleywood. Can be busy at times.

Nice spot to park for walks.

Very icy atm but the dogs liked it.
