Great Hall Car Park

Whilst on holiday in Tunbridge Wells we parked in the Great Hall Car Park. On return the machine would not accept payment from either of my cards. Have only just realised that in fact it took £6.30 from one card and £10.40 from the other. Daylight robbery. Beware of this scam.

Great location but gets full quickly. Car parks don't usually look good, but this one somehow does. It's in danger of being demolished and replaced with council offices and a theatre, which would also eat into Calverley Park.

In 1930s TWBC demolished incredible Decimus Burton townhouses on Mt Pleasant in order to build the ugly Civic Centre. Now they want to repeat history again :/

Car park lovely but the payment machine is so complicated for first time users. Don't know how tourists from abroad manage, never mind many UK drivers. There are much less complicated payment machines in many other car parks..Seems like young computer geeks designed this machine with no consideration of how many folk will be dismayed the technology..

Used this car park for ther fist time this evening think I worked it out. looked like I only had to pay £1.50? but was a bit confused as we drove out it said on the wall. have you post payment stop have you checked out 🤔! It's left me confused even more being the older generation that I am. It's the most definite confusing carpark I've ever had to workout so hopefully won't get a penalty notice from who owns it. 🤞

My ticket showed my payment to be £5.60 but they took £10.40 from my account.

You have to drive down the side road by The Great Hall to reach the car park

Always get a space. It’s a good location that’s slightly hidden away. It’s perfect to use with RingGo which you can pay to park on the app. The only reason it’s not 5 stars are because the ramps to drive up a very tight, and I’ve never seen any security around.
