Nice little car park and not as crowded as the more central car parks on campus. It's right next to the lovely old Beverley Farmhouse, the oldest building by far on campus.
The centre part is a 15th Century timber-framed building. The east section is 16th or early 17th Century timber-framed with brick infilling. This old part of the house is L-shaped on 2 storeys with 4 windows. In the 19th Century a large wing was added to the west faced with fishscale tiles.
On the other side of University Road from the farmhouse, you can still see the remains of the cart track going down towards the city centre, complete with ancient hedgerows filled with gatekeeper butterflies in summer. It was the first building to house university staff when the university was being built in 1965.
