Please read this WARNING story before choosing this car park. The car park is the old Odeon Cinema car park and is situated behind the Everyman Cinema in Muswell Hill. It is now operated by Britannia Parking. I arrived one evening to park before watching a film. In spite of the huge shift during COVID to cashless payment, their machines did not except card, just cash. I had no cash. I went to the Everyman Cinema but they are cashless and could not provide me with any coins. There was no phone number to call and pay. I have the popular RingGo app installed on my phone but this car park operated a parking app I’d never heard of, so I started to download this app which required a long and drawn out registration process including taking photographs of my car and uploading. As I got to the end of the process my phone ran out of battery and shut down. Hugely frustrated and annoyed that I was unable to pay the parking free of just £1.50, and with my film starting in 15 mins, I had to leave the car park to find alternative parking. I did not want to park there for the duration of the evening without paying. 7 days later I received a £100 PENALTY CHARGE through the post from Britannia Parking for the 14 minutes 14 seconds I had spent in their car park trying, but failing, to pay their £1.50 night charge. My number plate and car were photographed and timed entering and leaving the car park. BE WARNED!
