Easy to find car park with large parking bays. It’s connected right to the shopping centre. Prices are very reasonable as well, which is something I look for in a car park. Only knocked a star off because the pay machines for the car park aren’t located near the lifts or in the stair lobbies but in fact just plonked in a parking bay with a banner next to it. It would be good of Durham Council to place signposts at all levels to point you in the right direction.

A good choice for its central location.

Automatic entry visa ANPR and then simply pay at a pay station before exiting by typing in your registration number. The barrier than lifts automatically when it reads your registration number.

We've only used it once but it seems to be clean, well-lit, nicely-spaced and good value.

Easy in and out, both by car and by foot. Located right off the main shopping area of Durham. Also has clean bathrooms, which is great, if you have just arrived after a long trip. Reasonable prices.

It's a car park so not much that can be said about it. Not usually busy and the disabled parking spaces are somewhat abused by lazy folk who think they are entitled. Would be helpful to have those bays periodically checked and fines issues for unauthorised use.

Ideal location for visiting the city. Lift takes you straight into the shopping arcade, which leads onto the market square. Nice wide bays and really well lit.

Getting in OK. Getting out a nightmare. I know there was an event at the cathedral, we were there but it took over half an hour to get out from returning to the car. And to cap it all Claypath is closed overnight on Saturdays and Sundays.

Don't normally park in multi storeys but weather was cold and decided to use it so at least I didn't have to scrape ice off windscreen. Unfortunately I think everyone in Durham used the car park that night as there was a concert at the Cathedral. I paid the £1.50 charge which was very reasonable, then spent the next 45 mins to get from one end of level 5 to the other. It took from 9.30 to 10.50 to get to the exit barrier and this is where my gripe starts, every other car was going through perfectly but when it was my turn the sign said reading number plate then it stated 'Not paid' which I had! I pressed the buzzer for help but it just rang and rang, not that I had been optimistic of getting an answer at that time of night. I couldn't go anywhere as there was an almighty queue of traffic behind me who, I have to admit were patient. As I was panicking and wondering what to do next and what seemed like an eternity, the barrier did eventually lift. Don't think I'll be using it any time soon.

Fantastic place to park the bike if visiting Durham.

The motorbike parking area is to the immediate left on the 2nd floor (right after the main entrance).

Safe, secure, dry and clean and free :)
