Great place to start a walk but needs signs and road markings . Also some large potholes.

Car damaged from being reversed into whilst I was away, rear lights smashed in and bumper dented. Rear wheel arch pushed in aswell. No CCTV, be careful when parking here, people don’t care.

Favourite free parking spot for Cannock Chase

It's a bit odd to rate a car park. I always find a spot, it's free, and right on the northern entrance to Cannock Chase with a number of available walking routes.

I take my dog there 4 times a week, early morning around 7am week day/weekend. Sometimes there are horse trailers which is fun, and small youth groups doing some 'wilderness' training or some such during good weather months. Which is in part amusing because it's Cannock Chase.

Can't complain really. Well, apart from the snow/ice in the winter. Avoid.

Some fantastic walks from here, and if you go late and the sky is clear the stars are beautiful.

Ideal place to park if visiting / exploring the north end of the Chase by foot or bicycle. The car park is free all day long so no worries about getting back before getting a fine. Car park isn't huge so parking on the grass can have its downfalls ( like getting stuck after heavy rain ) it could do with being tarmac over and proper bays put in so people park sensibly rather just abandon their cars anywhere they see fit and ruining the grass areas. I'm sure everyone would be happy to pay a daily rate of £1 to help cover the cost of tarmac. Entrance / exit is on bit of a bend so getting in or out can be tricky with the traffic. Overall great place to park for free and go exploring, just remember to take your litter home or put it in the bin!
