Used this as a base for riding Summer Lightning from the top of Leith hill. A short steep ascent is rewarded with beautiful views and a well maintained MTB trail. Free parking but a donation box is there to support maintenance.

Area of outstanding beauty and many car parks for different walks, but we never found the play area that was marked on the map.

This carpark is also known as the Landslip carpark, according to National Trust maps and description.

It's a large carpark but can get pretty full on weekends. The ground is very uneven so care needs to be taken when navigating the carpark, and you can forget about taking your lowered supercar here ;)

It is the start of Frank's walk (pink trail) which leads to the Leith Hill Tower (highly recommended for the views) via a steep stepped (in parts) ascent, although it's also fairly useful for the Woodland trail (not too far) where the nearest carpark (Windy Gap carpark) is much smaller.

[Note: the picture of the map is taken from Leith Hill Tower. There is a similar map in the carpark where the "You are here" arrow points to the Landslip carpark]

Good car park. Can get sloppy and chewed up in bad weather.

Great location to park for Leith hill. Free to use and well surfaced.
