Farthing Downs Car Park

Beautiful spot an hour cycle from south London well worth a visit

Clean & tidy we visited on a wet day. Payment by credit/ debit card only. Charges £1:50 2hrs £3:00p all day. Poster states funds go to conservation & car park. The payment machine difficult to access on wet slippy grass, the grass will be damaged by people constantly walking on it. Adequate sized bays. Had to search to find larger bay for land rover.

Fantastic views to London on a clear day. Lovely walks. Nice clean public toilets.

3 quid for a whole day parking isn't bad when it has toilet facilities available along with a place to top up your water bottles.

The parking is a scam. The cameras charge upon entry. If you are like me and arrive in the dark and dont suspect to pay for parking then expect a £130 fine in the post. Public spaces shouldn't charge the public to enjoy them. Soon you'll be charge to enter different boroughs. This country is draining the soul out of drivers/people. Farthing down Common (common land!!) is a great space btw.

Been visiting this place for years, and now find they charge via ringgo, make sure you have your wallet. Total scam and will not be coming back, dog walkers be careful for a quick walk and park you could get charged £60 for not paying.

The parking is not free. It has two sections one is like a normal car park. The other section is on lawn. Based on the signs the gates close by 9pm every day.
There is a water refilling stand close to the toilet facilities (it didn't work when I checked it, it might work later). The toilet were open and clean.

Car park in a very nice location. Now pay and display, but ticket machine is difficult to read because of condensation inside glass cover.
