York Road Car Park

Huge car park. Normally easy to park. The pedestrian exit to the town centre is via the top floor. Two lifts which have recently been replaced with shiny new ones. BUT PLEASE NOTE- The car park public toilets are now PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

Beelzebub's car park!

- Strong scent of urine
- Half the machines don't work
- Very odd layout and the way out is poorly signposted
- The pay machines are on different floors to where the lifts go
- The front stairs don't have floor numbers on

It's a car park, it does exactly what says on the tin. One thing to note is the road down to the main entrance is quite steep and relatively long so not ideal for wheelchair users or those who struggle with hills. You pay on exit so no need to keep watching the clock but like all the car parks in Guildford it's not cheap and £1.50 flat rate after 6pm.

Used this car park last night to go to dinner then a show at G Live. If you aren't local, there is no way to find the exit for the town centre. There are few signs with arrows pointing upwards for the exit but they don't say which floor the exit is on! It's the 9th floor - quite unusual so why is it so difficult to signpost this somewhere?! After the show, there were two huge queues for the payment machines...no app payment for a car prk so close to an entertainment venue? Odd. Apart from that is was cheap but I would have preferred to pay a bit more than spend half an hour trying to find the way out and another half an hour queuing at the end.

It functions as a car park, which is better than Leapale Road. However the spaces are too narrow for modern cars and the lower decks were flooding in the rain, which is a worry for a building made of reinforced concrete, and the prices were higher than advertised on the website and had been that way for months.

The parking experience was fine. Leaving the car park to find the restaurant was a challenge though. The only exit we could find was next to where the cars enter and exit. We expected to leave from the other side! Sorry didnt think to take any photos

It's a Car Park!
Overpriced but most parking is these days. If you don't mind the walk, I suggest using Lvl 6 upwards although Paystations are on levels G,9 & 11. Really depends on your needs as a shopper/visitor/Glive attendee.
