Avenham Car Park

£3.90 for 4 hours and the Pay and Display machine wants EXACT change.. it doesn't give change.
I had a fiver, two pound coins and 30p on me as I'd never parked here before. So I decided to pay the £2.20 for two hours (it's £1 odd for 1 hour), only the 20p didn't register so it kept the £2, spat the 20p out and dispensed a ticket for an hours parking.
Absolute rip off with no assistance around only another machine to call!
Don't bother - park somewhere they have decent and convenient options to pay them or staff that can help and advise if needed.
I will never ever go there again, hate being treated like an idiot.

I find that the car park is very convenient as I work at marks and Spencer.
Ginny the car park attendant is always there to help and is always pleasant and helpful.

Ok apart from the fella hanging about the pay booth trying to guilt trip you into giving some money. Feels fairlysafe to patk. Didnt see any security though.

Attended Preston City Mela at Avenham Park, this was the best car park to stay all day without getting a ticket on the nearby roads. Sufficient space, & was able to pay on return using ticket collected on entry..machine is cash/notes only, I paid using £20 note & change is given, very happy. Avenham Park & Miller Park, Town centre are within walking distance.

We parked on the open car park, (next to the up and up one.) Anyway, lots of parking spaces and a reasonable price and close to town.

It's a car park. I found a parking space. My car was still there when I got back. That's really all I asked of a car park.

Beautiful park....so many different paths and walkways....never get bored with it.

Convenient car park in the centre of Preston. Hight restricted entrance allows only ordinary cars to park. Anything higher like minibus or similar would not be able to enter.
