Another great place to explore in wonderful woods. Especially good if you have a dog who likes walking. There are wonderful views across the Oxford plain from here.

But, be ware. Do not leave valuables in your car and is best to leave the glove box open so thieves can see there is nothing inside.

I left my car here for two days so that I could complete my final 30 miles of The Ridgeway, spread across two days.

My car was fine. I left nothing in sight and took valuables with me. But there is a LOT of broken glass around the car park with many Police notices pinned to the trees.

Something to be aware of. I found it quite unnerving and had feared the worst.

Some lovely views from the hill and some good walks with a nice pub, the fox and hounds, in the vicinity. There are numerous circular walks from the car park that vary in distance from a couple of miles to 8½ but most will be up and down hills. Good place to come, bring a picnic and spend a few hours enjoying the views

A free car park.
Has space for approximately 25+ cars if everyone parks sensibly. The ground is hard standing with loose gravel and was free from pot holes when I visited.
There is a dog waste bin next to the information notice board but no other facilities like a public toilet etc.
This car park fills up quickly during peak dog walking hours.

Perfectly positioned for a lovely walk but better to park on a weekday during the summer as it can get very busy.

One of the most amazing places in the Chilterns and a must visit.

I don't mind paying for parking, but at least invest some of the money into improving the car parking area and install security measures? £1.00 per hour or £3.00 for the day. For that you get a smallish car park full of potholes, no toilets and no CCTV - the place is a known hot spot for car theft!
