Deep Hayes Car Park

Great place for a walk on a nice day. Day ticket fishing available but in my opinion not worth bothering with as the lakes are not maintained. Little visitors center that sells drinks, lollies and trinkets

Lovely country park. Really enjoyed hand feeding some friendly ducks 😊

It's a car park. You can park your car there!
No novelty value in that except.....
You can then walk in the fabulous surroundings of Deep Hayes reservoirs. Enjoy the wildlife, birds and watch the fish take flies off the water.
Much more than this, you can walk along the canal to either The Hollybush Inn (Fabulous in any language) or in the opposite direction to Cheddleton; where you have the choice of either The Red Lion (food and then beer) or The Black Lion (beer and then food) pubs. Each glorious in their own way. Or you could walk a few hundred metres further on to The Boat Inn where food and drink share top billing!
You could even walk along the railway line, before it is reinstated for use by trains to Leek.
Now you are really spoilt for choice!
Maybe you should visit more than once? I visit here often.
