Nice place for a stroll, hilly in places but worth a look.

a very nice and quiet place, you can have a picnic, play ball, go for a walk in the woods to eat an ice cream, drink a juice or a coffee, water, has a toilet, playground for children very complex, picnic tables, or you can come with the blanket from home, etc. In the last picture we have a kind of uneducated people who made a mess… .Save nature!

Lucky find on the way back home from Calke Abbey.

Fantastic venue with great views and what could possibly be one of the best play parks we have found and it’s based at a reservoir. Puts some councils to shame. Will definitely return again with a picnic and spend the day there.

Very nice mainly woodland walk but little to see of the reservoir except from the car park areas and some of that has been fenced off. We had hoped to walk around the reservoir but it doesnt look possible. We did the 6km walk but only recorded about 4.5km on our fitbits. Car park free to National Trust members. Small cafe at car park.

Parking was fine, £3.50 unexpected but there is provision to pay by phone. Beautiful location for a walk

This has recently been taken over by the National Trust so if your a member you can park for free. Its juat a shame that you can not go onto the beaches, as they have fenced these off due to ASB back in lockdown. Any way the park is good bit get to packed and not enough seating areas, there is a small cafe for takeaway drinks and snacks.

The play park here is the best! I could move in! Snack bar is too expensive its vastly overprices and there should be a cafe with at least a roof. It would get far more visitors with a roof and cheaper food.
