It's a free car park and that's good, but most of it is flooded potholes. There are toilets there, but the last several times I have been there, they've been locked.
It's a great location to park, but a real disaster of a car park.
I've returned to this car park and a great deal of gravel has been added over the surface and it's a big improvement.
The toilets remain inaccessible.

Lots of space. Card or App payment only. Toilets 👍😊. £2 for 2 hours. CCTV (apparently they will check your payment sufficient to cover your exact entry and exit times...so don"t sit around for long having sandwiches before getting out of the car to pay, as we did 🤪😊). About 500m from the river.

If visiting Hambledon Lock for a walk along the Thames, then this is the best place to park. It's an easy stroll to the lock and river of only about 6 or 7 minutes. Cost was minimal, a couple of quid for a few hours. There are toilets here in the carpark FYI.

BE AWARE! This car park is operated by HIDDEN ANPR by Napier Parking on behalf of the private owner. There is a grace period of only 10 minutes. Get your ticket immediately when you arrive. There are no signs in this car park to warn you it is ANPR operated (possibly only very small print on the main ticket board) and you will get an FCN if you over stay. The private owners of the car park (Culden Faw Estate) deny owning it, so you can't even appeal to them directly. This car park was found through the National Trust website from someone out of town and I will be contacting the National Trust to update their records.

Beware of this place I arrived at this car park thinking I might use it. I changed my mind and left (without ever getting out of my vehicle). 2 weeks later I received a £60 parking fine in the post. Apparently there is a camera and an automatic fine even if you don't use the car park. This is a rip off. Someone should stop this company from preying on unsuspecting drivers. I would have contested my ticket but I live abroad and don't have time.

Stopped here and walked to Henley via the Hambleden lock at the bottom of the road(the lock is about 500 yards from the car park)
The carpark has Public toilets open before 5pm in summer, not sure about winter months.
Pay and Display. (The carpark not the toilets😀)

I think it's a good idea, to have the car park outside of this beautiful picturesque village. Saying that, there was lots of people that got quite confused over the payment method in the car park.

It's a car park without lights and not tarmacced. Ideal for visiting the southern part of the Chilterns. However you do need to pay nowadays.
