The views from the Tissington Trail between Hartington and Parsley Hay are stunning and the trail can be accessed by people of all ages and fitness levels.

Car park on the Tissington Trail with panoramic views available and basic cafe kiosk provision of refreshments. Big bonus is the availability of the old railway signal station to look around although I don't know whether this is always open. A welcome break if cycling/ walking the local trails (High Peak trail also nearby) but also with a visit for the signal station anyway - presented well with relent historic information to hand.

Awesome run with my wheelchair bound partner. Up to north end and back was just short of half marathon, so we wend south just a short distance to top it up. The views were splendid, and it was good to have several services options on the way if needed. Will come back!

Old restored signal box of Hartington Station, closed in 1954. On Tissington hiking trail which was once the railway line between Ashbourne & Buxton. Toilets, parking, picnic tables, a welcome stop for walkers & cyclists. Level with great views over the high peaks. More cyclists than walkers, so walkers beware of inconsiderate cyclists

this car park is not located at the Hartington village although named Hartington car park. toilets are clean. Tissington trail passes though this car park and the high peak trail is not far from this car park aswell. parking all day is£4.75 (no change) and coins only. there is no cafe in this car park.
