My wife, and 3 friends with cars accompanied by 2 passengers, parked at this carpark. They thought they'd paid at the machine using their bank cards, as no means for using cash at the machine available, and the machine asked if they wanted a receipt but none was issued. Both machines in the carpark resulted in the same outcome. They all assumed that the machines had run out of tickets. When home and checking online banking they discovered that there was no carpark fee pending. They all tried to contact Euro Car Parks but couldn't get a reply by phone so emailed them directly and were notified that they couldn't pay after the event. Their further appeals to Euro Car Parks have been declined and they have all been issued with a £60 penalty. Why would a machine ask if they wanted a receipt if they hadn't paid? Can you walk into a shop and ask for a receipt unless you've first made a purchase? I, personally, want to take the matter further but my wife says pay it because of the stress. It's odd that someone from Euro Car Parks was working on the machines 2 days after their appeals! In hindsight, don't stay if you don't get a valid ticket, and leave within 5 minutes of arriving. Avoid Euro Car Parks like the plague!

This Euro car park in Mansfield used to accept cash payments but in their infinite wisdom have installed card only payment machines and ANPR cameras to catch the unwary. The problem is the machines are complicated to use and tend not to work, it's an unpaved car park so rough as hell.
Once they had replaced the cash machines with the card only machines, the parking occupancy rate has dropped from approx 95% to about 5%.
The council car park directly opposite is paved, has CCTV security, and charges exactly the same but the machines take cash, so we park there now, and would highly recommend to anyone to do the same.
Anyone considering dining at the Ciao Bella Italian restaurant in Mansfield may be tempted to park in the Euro car park which is across the road, well don't, because the council one is directly opposite the Euro car park on the side-street, and like I say, it accepts cash payments, it's just easier - hope this helps.
